  • How much does a session cost?
    My fee is $225 for 45 minutes or $260 for 60 minutes session for individuals and $280 for 60 minutes session for couples. I also have a limited number of reduced fee slots available in my practice. Please contact me to discuss this further. If I cannot accommodate a price for you, I am happy to offer resources, referrals, and tips on how to find a therapist who is within your budget.
  • How long is a session?
    Each session is 45 minutes for individuals, and 60 minutes for couples. *The length of sessions can potentially be extended in advance for a mutually agreed additional fee. This is applicable to those covering the cost of therapy as self-pay and not using health insurance.
  • When are you available?
    I am available for appointments Monday through Thursday. Contact me to determine my current availability.
  • Do you accept insurance?
    I reserve a limited number of insurance slots in my practice. Please reach out to verify if any of these slots are available. I am an in-network provider with: -Aetna -Cigna -Empire BCBS Anthem I am out of network for most insurances (except Aetna, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield Anthem, and Cigna ). If you wish to obtain reimbursement from your insurance company, I can provide you with a Superbill for services rendered. I do not contact or deal directly with insurances I’m not in-network with. Contact your benefits administrator to inquire about out-of-network coverage for mental health services and ask the following questions before scheduling an appointment: Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits and do you reimburse? What is the procedure for reimbursement? What is my deductible and has it been met? How much does my insurance plan cover for an out-of-network provider for procedure code (CPT code) 90834, 90837, or 90791?
  • Where is your office located?
    My office is located in New York, NY. I provide Telehealth services via a secured HIPAA compliant platform for telehealth/teletherapy, and online clinical supervision. I am a licensed clinical social worker able to practice independently in New York state.
  • Do you provide a free initial consultation?
    I offer an initial 15-minute phone consultation. You would have an opportunity to ask me questions, explain your motives for seeking therapy, and to get a feel for me as a therapist. In the event that you/we decide we are not a good fit; or the reason behind you seeking treatment is beyond the scope of my practice, I can suggest alternative referral sources. I provide a free 20-minute phone consultation to explore your interest in clinical supervision.
  • Why weekly sessions?
    Weekly sessions allow us to build rapport in efforts to develop comfort and trust. Maintaining weekly sessions will permit us to delve into your experiences regularly.
  • Can you prescribe medication?
    As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am not licensed to write prescriptions. If during our work together you express a need for psychotropic medication, I can refer you to a psychiatrist, psychiatric nurse practitioner or you can discuss this with your primary care physician(PCP).
  • Payments
    Payment is expected when services are rendered unless other prior arrangements have been made. I accept Ivy Pay, a HIPAA compliant service to collect payment. You would be required to enter your credit/debit/FSA card information.
  • Cancellation Policy
    If you need to cancel your appointment please let me know within 24 hours in advance to avoid cancellation fees (full fee: $225) unless an emergency arises. If you are using health insurance to cover mental health services, please remember that your insurance does not cover missed sessions or late cancellations, therefore, you are responsible for the no-show/ late cancellation full fee: $225 for individuals or $280 for couples.
  • Confidentiality
    Please be aware that therapy sessions are confidential. However, it is required by law for therapist to report child abuse, dependent adult abuse, elder abuse and threats of physical harm to others.
